Eileen Schwartz Reyna

| Yoga |

Eileen was introduced to the practice of yoga in 1997 as a complement to her contemporary dance training. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with the Yoga Alliance, having completed her 200-hour teacher training program at with Hot Yoga USA. Eileen has studied under many teachers in several traditions, including Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Anusara and Baptiste Yoga. From countless practice hours on her mat, she integrates these styles in her teaching, reflecting her creative passion for the practice.

Eileen teaches in a Vinyasa style, fluidly moving from posture to posture, creating a challenging and supportive environment that is adaptable to the beginner, as well as the advanced student. Her practice is breath centered, with a strong focus on alignment and development of core strength. Her classes often incorporate arm balances and inversions and she encourages her students to practice mindfully with and open mind and a big dose of lighthearted humor.
In addition to having dedicated many years to her former contemporary dance career, Eileen also holds a J.D. from the University of Baltimore and has worked as an attorney and a professional arts fundraiser. She is a native Washingtonian and lives in Bethesda with her husband and beautiful daughter. Follow Eileen on her website www.eileenreyna.com.
