Laura is a E-RYT200 with Yoga Alliance. A former Principal Dancer with The Washington Ballet, she retired in 2010 after 20 years of professional dancing and that same year became the Co-founder and Director of The Yoga Fusion Studio.
Her Yoga classes are both physically challenging and focused on correct alignment and the mind-body-breath connection. She uses the practice of pranayama (breath control), the use of the bandhas (energy locks), and a fluid flow of sequences that are infused with energy while emphasizing a mindful personal practice that is never judgmental of oneself or others.
Laura is still very much in touch with dance, and teaches as an adjunct professor for the dance program at George Mason University. It is her believe that one can experience many things and recreate oneself many times in one life and this is what moves her and inspires her. A continual transformation and welcoming of the new and unknown that she wishes to transmit to her students.
She shares the ownership of the studio with her partner in life, Billy, a triathlete and 3 time Kona finisher, who is always her support and inspiration.
